The Position: 

Responsible for setting high standards of all pastry food, chocolate works, breads, ice-cream production and creative decorations for cakes throughout the Hotel. Responsible for the proper efficiency and profitable functioning of the pastry/bakery section and supervise the work of subordinate chefs and employees and must ensure and be familiar with all policies and procedures of the department, F&B standards and HACCP principles.

• Degree qualification in Hotel/Catering Management or equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of 5 years experience in the pasty environment with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity (Chef, Head Chef or Pastry Chef). Experience in multiple cuisines will be an advantage.
• A thorough knowledge of catering, kitchen and restaurant practices within the catering industry. An understanding of the preparation, delivery and services associated with the highest standards of pastry preparation and production found in the international hospitality industry.
• A knowledge of staff training practices within the catering environment.
