TAM Airlines to fly only A320, stop using F-100

TAM Airlines said it would discontinue operating its Fokker F-100 aircraft and use Airbus A320 planes as it consolidates its fleet.

All TAM flights will now be on Airbus A320 aircraft and have seating for executive and economy classes, allowing the company to increase the number of seats per flight and adjust its network to better serve passengers, the company said.

The parent of Airbus is EADS

Brasil-based TAM Airlines said its F-100, made by the now-defunct Fokker Aircraft Industries, had been used for flights inside Brazil and in South America.

Additional details were not immediately available.
