New members nominated for Lufthansa Supervisory Board
|
The Annual General Meeting of Deutsche Lufthansa AG will duly elect a new Supervisory Board on 29 April 2008. At its meeting, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG adopted a list of nominees for election to the seats held by shareholder representatives. On the list to be put to the Annual General Meeting for election to the Supervisory Board are the following names (in alphabetical order):
1.) Jacques Aigrain, Küssnacht (CH) CEO Schweizerische Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft
2.) John Allan, Bonn Member of Executive Board Deutsche Post AG
3.) Dr. Werner Brandt, Bad Homburg Member of Executive Board of SAP AG
4.) Dr. Jürgen Hambrecht, Neustadt an der Weinstraße Chairman of the Executive Board of BASF SE
5.) Ulrich Hartmann, Dusseldorf Chairman of the Supervisory Board of E.ON AG
6.) Dr. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, Gerlingen Managing Partner and Chairman of the Management Board of TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG
7.) Dr. Klaus Schlede, Carabietta (CH) Member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG
8.) Dr. Herbert Walter, Frankfurt Chairman of the Executive Board of Dresdner Bank AG and Member of the Executive Board of Allianz SE
9.) Dipl.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E. h. Jürgen Weber, Hamburg Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG
10.) Matthias Wissmann, Ludwigsburg President of the German Automotive Industry Association (VDA)
Jürgen Weber, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, said: "With these nominations, we have succeeded in gaining excellent people to represent the shareholders on our Supervisory Board. With their support, the Supervisory Board will be able to continue its successful work in the future, with a good mix of specialist knowledge of the aviation industry, financial expertise, international experience and entrepreneurial acumen.“ Jürgen Weber is to be nominated for re-election as Supervisory Board Chairman. |
