Mexican airport group GAP delays dividend payment
|
... GAP said shareholders were unable to bring the proposed dividend to a vote due to a court order that some shareholders said blocked Aeropuertos Mexicanos del Pacifico (AMP), the holder of GAP´s BB series shares, from voting.
"The company has decided to defer the dividend payment and reduction in the outstanding amount of the shareholders´ equity until the issues raised during the shareholders´ meeting are clarified," GAP said in a statement.
AMP controls GAP´s management and has the right to veto certain shareholder resolutions. Its BB shares represent 15 percent of GAP´s capital stock, according to the company´s annual report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commision. |
