Boeing sees Latam jet demand at 1,730 through 2026

U.S. aircraft maker Boeing Co. said on Monday Latin America would require 1,730 new aircraft worth some $120 billion in the next 20 years, with the growth led primarily by Brazil and Mexico.

Mike Barnett, Boeing director of marketing for Latin America, told Reuters the forecast was slightly more optimistic than last yearīs estimate. He also said he did not expect Brazilīs ongoing aviation crisis to have any long-term impact on the sectorīs growth in Latin Americaīs largest country.

Boeing also expects traffic for Latin American carriers to almost triple through 2026, Barnett said. (Reporting by Andrei Khalip)
