Aer Lingus buys 4 Airbus shorthaul aircraft

Irish carrier Aer Lingus said it would buy four new shorthaul A320-200 aircraft from Airbus, for delivery between late 2010 and early 2011.

The list price for the four aircraft on the basis of a purchase agreement with Airbus in 2003 would be $226.8 million in total, Aer Lingus said.

"However, the price which the company will pay for each of these aircraft will be subject to certain downward adjustments as we have obtained certain price concessions from Airbus," it said in a statement.
